against the ropes

this is great. it's all lyrical brilliance with a bit of a nineties feel. i'm amazed i didn't know of the ropes before the email dropped into my inbox earlier because it's the kind of indie pop i love. sort of reminds my of the indelicates, who should also be getting more exposure than they are. i hope that their prediction that this will be played in clubs in europe forever happens because i want to hear it more.
